In winter, idling at certain Bay Avenue stoplights is a waste
Published in the March 14, 2012 issue

To The Editor:

Why do vehicles have to sit and idle at the traffic lights on Bay Avenue at Eighth, 10th and 24th Streets in Ocean City during the off season? There are no through streets at these three lights and traffic is light enough that vehicles have no trouble entering Bay Avenue. We constantly hear about being “green” and conserving energy yet all winter countless cars, trucks, and motorcycles uselessly pollute while waiting at the above named traffic lights.
