EGG HARBOR CITY — Linwood’s Belhaven Middle School boys and girls cross country teams took first place in the Atlantic Cape Junior High School Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Cedar Creek High School, where more than 18 schools and 280 middle school runners from Atlantic and Cape May counties competed.

Belhaven’s Sofia Day was the female champion, winning by a margin of 30 seconds and setting the course record. Sofia also ran undefeated all season, as did the Belhaven teams and Ethan Mitnick, who also set a course record this year.
