Freeholder candidates debate will be Oct. 29

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The League of Women Voters of Cape May County is sponsoring the 2019 Cape May County Freeholder Debate from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29,  at the Old Historic Court House Building, North Main Street, Cape May Court House. 

The four candidates running for office have all agreed to participate and will be in attendance. The candidates are incumbent Republicans Gerald Thornton and E. Marie Hayes and Democratic challengers Elizabeth Casey and Joyce Gould. 

The public is invited to submit questions for the candidates in addition to those prepared by the League.  Questions for consideration may be emailed to the League of Women Voters web site at capemay.nj.lwvnet.org under the tab “Contact Us” and addressed to Corinne Robinson, Voter Services Director.  Questions should be submitted no later than Friday, Oct. 25.

The event is open to the public and seating will begin at 6:30 p.m.
