LINWOOD – The Linwood Arboretum celebrates its 10th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 10 with an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join in dedicating the “Out of this World Tree,” a stately pine that was grown from seed that traveled into space aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in April of 1997. It was planted at the Arboretum in 1999 by George Butrus and Charlie Marakos and is dedicated to the seven astronauts who lost their lives aboard the Columbia in 2003. The dedication will be held at noon. All are welcome. Tours of the Arboretum will also be available. Refreshments will be served. The arboretum is at the corner of Wabash and Belhaven Avenue.
