A lot of work behind the scenes as city negotiates to buy open lot

CEAN CITY – The city will dedicate funding to purchase the former Ocean City Chevrolet lot before it can be developed.

City Solicitor Dorothy McCrosson told council Jan. 9 that negotiations are ongoing between the city and Harry and Jerry Klause of Klause Enterprises, owners of the 1.967-acre property adjacent to the Ocean City Community Center between 16th and 17th streets and Haven and Simpson avenues.
