Power plant’s future called key issue in 2020

Upper Township mayor shares projects, plans with business group

BEESLEYS POINT — No current issue is of more importance to Upper Township Committee than the future of the BL England generating plant, Mayor Rich Palombo told a group of business owners Jan. 14 during their annual dinner meeting. 

The mayor or deputy mayor traditionally gives a State of the Township report to the annual meeting of the Upper Township Business Association, held this year at the Tuckahoe Inn, a historic landmark in the shadow of the coal-fired power plant that ended operation last year.
