SOMERS POINT — The Somers Point Board of Education rejected the proposed 2016-17 budget in a 5-4 vote Thursday, April 28. 

A special school board meeting to address the issue was scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, after the Sentinel’s deadline. According to a meeting notice, the budget and personnel matters were on the agenda.
