SOMERS POINT — Boaters traveling through southern New Jersey now have another option to stop overnight or prepare their boat for the rest of their journey at a new transient marina in Somers Point.

The marina’s opening was celebrated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 28. The municipal marina, located off Higbee Avenue on the bay, includes 20 transient boat slips. There are additional slips for tour boats and emergency vessels.
