200 walk Rt. 52 causeway, call for new gun laws

SOMERS POINT – Wearing orange shirts and carrying signs, about 200 people walked across the Route 52 causeway from Somers Point to Ocean City on June 8 to raise awareness about gun violence.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a national group with a local chapter in Atlantic and Cape May counties, sponsored the second annual “Wear Orange Jersey Shore Bridge Walk to End Gun Violence” to combat what event organizers deem has become a national epidemic.
