NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Police Department seized more than 10 pounds of marijuana Monday, July 29, after they were dispatched to a home on Steelman Avenue, authorities said.

Police were dispatched on a report of a domestic disturbance. While there, they discovered that the resident, Dennis Macgrogan, 48, was growing marijuana on his rear deck, police said.

The marijuana was decorated with flowers to allegedly disguise it, according to information from the Northfield Police Department.

Detective Geoffrey Bentz secured a search warrant for the residence, where police found five 5-foot-tall marijuana plants on the back deck. Additional marijuana was located inside the home, as well as a rifle, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Macgrogan was issued a summons and released pending court.
