OCEAN CITY – The beach and boardwalk are highlights of every Ocean City vacation, but a new event on Saturday will showcase the resort’s other “B”: the bay.
The inaugural Bayside Family Day is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 at the bayfront park at Second Street and Bay Avenue. The event will feature live music, food vendors, entertainment, educational demonstrations and more. Sponsors include local businesses such as Totally Tubular Watersports, Ocean City Parasail, Jet Drive Exchange Boat & Jet Ski Club and Pirate Voyages.
The early forecasts call for some great weekend weather, so it’ll be a great chance to get outside and take in the spectacular views on Ocean City’s bayside. For more information, call 1-800-BEACHNJ.
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry will hold a free one-day football camp for youth in kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will be run noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22 on the field at Carey Stadium (Sixth Street and Boardwalk).
After a year in Tampa Bay, Curry is back with the Eagles for the 2019 season. This will be his fourth Youth Football Camp. The program focuses on football fundamentals and is an opportunity for the New Jersey native to give back to the community.
Anybody interested in participating can register at account.usafootball.com/events/242. For more information, call Emanuel Capers at (973) 572-5223.
