Nancy June Clark passed away on November 13, 2019 at the age of 84 after a long, difficult battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was surrounded by family and friends when she passed.

Nancy was born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and was a member of the first four-year class to graduate from Abraham Lincoln High School. On January 28, 1956 she married the love of her life, Henry Clark. She and Henry raised four children in Barrington, NJ. Nancy was an active member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Haddonfield, where she served in many roles, including on church council. She enjoyed volunteering for numerous charitable organizations, from being a Brownie leader to stocking the food pantry at the Good Samaritan Center in Camden. In 1988 she and Henry relocated to Ocean City, New Jersey to smell the ocean in the summer and travel the world in the winter. However, those plans were dashed by Henry’s sudden death at the age of 56. Nancy remained in Ocean City and courageously built a new life for herself. Nancy traveled the world and when home she enjoyed the beach, bridge, tennis, golf, bible study, crossword puzzles, the occasional trip to the slot machines, laughing with her girlfriends and was always up for a game of scrabble. She also volunteered at the Shore Memorial Hospital gift shop where she worked the counter for many years, as well as served as one of the merchandise buyers.

Nancy was blessed with 11 grandchildren and extra blessed last year with the arrival of her first great grandson, Baby Henry. She was also very grateful to see her oldest grandchildren Andy and Jen marry.

Nancy will be terribly missed by her children: Steve (Liz) of Ocean City, Doug (Candy) of Egg Harbor Twp., Lisa DeMarino (Ralph) of Haddonfield, and Paul (Kim) of Audubon; her grandchildren: Andy Clark (Adrienne), Jen Levy (Josh), Alex Clark; Meagan, Edward and William Clark; Nate, Olivia, Julianna and Josh DeMarino; Zach Clark; great grandchild: Henry Clark; her brother Barry Taffler (Jenny) of Sneads Ferry, NC, sister-in-law Barbara (Frank) Schmidt of Elkins Park, PA, brother-in-law Raymond Zdebski of Glen Mills, PA. and many nieces, nephews and friends.

We take comfort in knowing she is now with our father Henry and her parents Al and Nan (Schoenherr) Taffler.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Ocean City, NJ. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a service to follow at 10:30 am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be sent to the Clark/Hartmann Ministerial Scholarship Fund c/o The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Haddonfield, NJ or The Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research (www.michaeljfox.org).
