We have new words to describe vacations. Cape May County Tourism Director Diane Wieland included them in a PowerPoint presentation to the Lower Township Chamber of Commerce last month.

Suffix-cation describes specific or special vacations. A staycation is when you stay home and don’t go away on vacation. Maybe you take day trips, go to the movies or eat in a restaurant a few times. The worst version is when you stay home and paint the house for a week or have all your teeth pulled for dentures.
