OUR VIEW: Keeping noise levels down on Boardwalk

This compromise worth testing this summer

Who would think limiting the noise from buskers on the Ocean City Boardwalk would be this complicated?

Judging from the emotional outpouring at City Council’s meeting last week, trying to keep the sound down has to strike a balance between freedom of expression, the rights of neighboring business and their employees, overall noise levels and even, possibly, the Americans with Disabilities Act.
