After Military Appreciation, coach shows players there’s more to life

OCEAN CITY – After a lacrosse game that featured a military appreciation ceremony, the Ocean City High School boys lacrosse told his players there is more to life than lacrosse.

“Is this the best lacrosse you’ve ever seen? No,” head coach Joe LaTorre said, “but it’s team lacrosse and when I talked to the guys (after the game), I didn’t even really talk about the game. We talked about the halftime ceremony. The whole thing we’re trying to get them to understand is there’s a world outside of Ocean City and outside this turf field.
