LINWOOD – The hardest part for the Mainland Regional girls basketball team this season will be beating the sky-high expectations after winning the NJSIAA Group III state title last spring while returning arguably the best player in the state in 6-4 senior forward Kylee Watson.

The Mustangs chugged through last season in businesslike fashion with a 28-4 record and the school’s first girls state basketball title behind Watson and deft 3-point shooting from her supporting cast.
