Mustang basketball gets back on track before tournament

LINWOOD – The Mainland Regional boys basketball team went into Tuesday’s opening-round of the South Jersey Group III Tournament by getting back on the winning path, defeating Middle Township 62-59 at home Friday.

The victory in the consolation round of the Cape-Atlantic League tournament gave the Mustangs a 19-7 record going into Tuesday’s contest with Camden Tech. Mainland had entered the game losing three in a row, including a 70-54 loss to St. Augustine in the first round of the CAL tournament.
