The Ocean City High School athletic department has been busy this school year with athletes signing letters of intent to play sports in college. On Monday, the department had its third signing involving 12 athletes. According to Athletic Director Vince Leavey, that makes a total of 41 athletes who will continue their athletic careers after high school. Above are 10 of the 12, from left, Erica Stratten, who is going to Coastal Carolina University for dance team; TJ Stanton, golf, Ursinus College, with volunteer coach Matt Galownia; basketball player Molly Hoffman, Rowan College, with coach Paul Baruffi; runners Samantha Levai, Ursinus College, and Sophia Gresham, Rowan University, with coach Tim Cook; runner Gavyn Fox, Widener University; rowers Jack Branin, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and A.J. Oves, Saint Joseph’s University; and swimmers Ben Wiley, Rowan University, and Andrea Teofanova, Carnegie Mellon University, with coaches Shane McGrath and Ian Keyser. The other two athletes who signed are runners and hurdlers Mackenzie Matura, Stockton University, and Kevin King, Rowan University.
