OCEAN CITY – High school students are constantly looking for jobs, whether to pay for a car, phone, or upcoming college debt. And as a beach town, many Boardwalk employers are looking to hire students age 16 and older for the summer, as tourism picks up and stores are overwhelmed.

This summer, Shirt Shack (8th Street), Separately Swimwear (8th), Monkey Bread (9th), George’s Candies (7th) and Shirt World (7th) are all looking to hire high school students. Clancy’s By the Sea (12th) is also looking for students to work as bussers or hosts, and Gillian’s Wonderland Pier (6th) is hiring for multiple positions. The newest stores on the boardwalk, Starbucks (8th) and It’s Sugar (9th) are also looking for employees to begin their first summer. Old Time Photos (6th) and Jersey Girl (7th) are willing to consider students 15 and older, and Haunted Golf (8th) is considering 14 year olds.

Applicants are encouraged to call or visit these stores soon if they are interested in a summer position, as the summer approaches and these positions fill up quickly.
